Dan SchultzWorkshop Follow-up
The Palmer Lake Art Group invited me to teach a one-dayworkshop focusing on Painting Portraits and Figures in the Landscape. We had anice group turn out for the workshop and good weather during the morning whileI did a painting demonstration outside. The weather turned stormy for theafternoon so we decided to come indoors so everyone could stay dry. Thanks to Julia Evans who organized the workshop andto Joy Sola who was our model for the day!
Monday,July 11 Margarete Seagraves, Julia Evans, Suzanne Jenne, Pat Schmidt, andJana Towery attended a one-day workshop presented by Dan Schultz. Our topic was"Painting Figures in the Landscape," the morning was beautiful, and thefreshly cleaned back patio at the clubhouse was the perfect place to set up.Our model, Joy Sola, relaxed against the trees as Dan masterfully demo'ed. Asalways, Dan provided a wealth of information while "making it lookeasy."
The weather turned stormy after lunch so we movedinside. Joy posed for us and we practiced figure-painting for the rest of theday. I'd have to say it was a truly enjoyable learning experience, and a funchange from my typical style. If you visit Dan's website you can see a picturethat Dan took of the workshop. http://www.danschultzfineart.com/extra/email_newsletter/2011_08.html#4
