The Art of Margarete Seagraves

Margarete Seagraves reentered the world of art 15 years ago with a passionate desire to create art and paint the images of nature around her. She has studied with numerous artists, especially well-known artists Gwen Fox and Robert Burridge. Her paintings are influenced by her childhood in Germany and her travels throughout the world. Since moving to Colorado, her paintings are highly influenced by the southwestern landscape. She describes her style of paintings as abstract expressionism created with either oil or acrylic paints, and mixed media.
