Palmer Lake Art Group Scholarship Recipients
2007 Winners Jessica Provenmire and Kelsie Everson
The Palmer Lake Art Group encourages interest in the arts and art education through a scholarship for a Lewis Palmer High School graduating senior. PLAG has been awarding scholarships yearly since 1977.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must apply in the spring of his/her graduating year. All students applying set up a display of their work, minimally something from each class taken as a high school student. Students are encouraged to display artwork done outside normal classes, and from any classes taken outside the high school curriculum. In addition, the student also is required to display their sketchbook, and to create a Colorado state poster. Subjects, including but not limited to, drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, and sculpture are accepted.
The winning students must enroll in art specific classes at the university, college, or school of their choice. Upon verification of classes, the scholarship is paid directly to the student's account at the school.
